Thread regarding Riverbed Technology Inc. layoffs

Spies amongest you

Are you an older employee? Maybe a long time older employee? Have some medical issues? Want extra time to spend with your new baby? Have your ducks lined up because your manager will exploit your humanity to lay you off. Riverbed leadership will only take care of their own kind, not you individual contributors. Riverbed needs to be investigated by the US Department of Labor for their shady practices. Absolutely disgusting.

There's no sizzle, just fizzle at Riverdead.
People have had years to find something else and even if you were clinging to a turnaround delusion, you can still find something else. I crack up when I see RVBD in my feeds. Laughable was magic quadrant splash, which basically was... we're the 3rd best.. in this very niche space.

I’ve filed a complaint with department of Labor over how Riverbeds insurance has been sc--wing me over post layoff. Let’s see how this goes. All health insurance companies su-k and the whole system should be replaced…but I’m sure riverbed isn’t helping.

What is there to rip and replace? What company is using a WAN cache server in 2025?

I have to admit I’m kind of impressed the company is still limping along. I really thought Riverbed’s customers would just be disgusted by now, but the cost to rip and replace is pretty high…

Have you heard rumors of layoffs?

Dude. Why on earth would you still be working there in the first place? There is now way that company can survive. Is top line growing, or shrinking? Is there any product that can take off and save the company? I have not heard a customer mention riverbed in years. It’s totally irrelevant. I can’t imagine why anyone would be hanging on at this point—even the lifers that are left. Why go down with the ship?
