Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

The testing infrastructure setup at some new location would be several hundred million dollars. It is difficult, but not impossible, to justify that much expense without some greater strategy with government incentives or real estate sales to offset the expenses.

Rumor is St Louis Missouri is at the top of Honeywell's list to relocating to. This could be due to several factors. St Louis may be offering Honeywell large multi-year tax breaks and Boeing could be offering to sell Honeywell excess facilities Boeing has in St Louis that Honeywell can probably pick up on the cheap.

even outsourcing is iffy right now given the intense regionalization of defense and defense adjacent industries.

Really??? Move out of Arizona?! More like move more stuff to Arizona, any state that has unions is on the chopping block to insource to Arizona. But let’s see how the spin-off goes folks!

I was so disappointed yesterday. We turned on the TV and they were talking about Miracle on 34th Street. I thought maybe Honeywell had turned things around, but it turns out it was a different fictional story about Santa Claus in New York.

i recently heard that the 103 gear line was not being shut down and they bought new machines to produce more product. Any truth to that?

What makes you think HW cares where YOU would be willing to relocated to? They care about nobody, division presidents are a dime a dozen and that means nothing to them if they refused to relocate.

They can't even relocate parts of Tucson to Tempe after 2 years of trying. It would cost billions to move out of Phx. Easier to sell off pieces for a quick buck which is constantly happening behind the scenes. It's a lot of antiquated tech. Aero survives off 25-60 year old products supported by factories and equipment that have been neglected for decades. I haven't seen much innovation or new contract wins in the last 10 years. It should be obvious the direction this company is headed long-term.
