I was in line to receive $60K in RSUs the end of December. But you laid me and many of my colleagues off. So instead of a Turkey dinner this Christmas it was canned tuna casserole.
I may never work again due to my age.

I was laid off with a severance package for 1 year and did receive my 1 x RSU payout that was coming for that one year. However the next 2 RSUs will not be paid to me and were eliminated from me being eligible for.
Vesting RSUs still pay out during your severance pay period, they just don't say anything about it in your letter, it will quietly show up on your severance pay stubs. This is what happened for me last year.
