It almost seems too kind of AT&T leadership to spare us during the holidays. I wonder how we'll pay for that once we hit January, though.

“They're not sending anything to Atlanta until the building spaces are completed and they know exactly what it looks like with all the people they've assigned there. It's why Atlanta is exempt from 5-days RTO until further notice. I wouldn't read too much into new postings only being in Dallas right now.”
Exempt? I thought Atlanta was mandated to 5-day RTO effective 1/6. And, for some, it was 4 days effective immediately (Late October).
Not true. Nj is backfilling and hiring. In fact, we prefer NJ candidates because they are simply better all around employees for our org.
“Everyone I speak with about an opening on another team says they have to hire in Dallas. Hardly any jobs in Atlanta or Alpharetta.”
Surprised? You’re kidding. Christmas is not on T calendar but Winter Solstice is. Any questions?
Hi there. Class of 12/13/24. Glad you were spared.

*I was laid off on (1)2/13 and I’m in Atlanta. Merry Christmas to me."
What group?
“Everyone I speak with about an opening on another team says they have to hire in Dallas. Hardly any jobs in Atlanta or Alpharetta.”
Definitely true. My team has been hiring in Atlanta recently but L3 and higher is Dallas only. ATL will be phased out eventually but it’ll be slower than the other hubs.
Anyone that isn’t close to retirement should be looking elsewhere for sure. Just a matter of time.
I heard CNN, MSDNC and the DNC are looking for ethical and competent employees. Might want to start applying for a job there first.
Atlanta is only a temporary layover to being #DallasBound.
Atlanta isn’t safe. Go into the jobs hub and look at available jobs. Everything is going to Dallas. Everyone I speak with about an opening on another team says they have to hire in Dallas. Hardly any jobs in Atlanta or Alpharetta. I’ve been looking, but started applying externally. Got a couple interviews coming up in the next couple weeks. Not sticking around for the 5x RTO and hourly tracking fiasco. Going to stay just long enough to get my review and qualify for the bonus. If I get laid off between now and then even better, but I’m not going to wait around and be miserable hoping for a couple months of severance.
Clickity clack ain’t no stopping the BFS train coming down the track
I thought people in hubs are safe and not being laid off. Shocked to see folks in Atlanta being laid off
“I was laid off on 2/13 and I’m in Atlanta. Merry Christmas to me.”
Oops. Meant 12/13.
I was laid off on 2/13 and I’m in Atlanta. Merry Christmas to me.
I cut the cheese
I'm shocked you are still here.
Pajama Stank would never let his traditional pre Merry Christmas layoff be forgotten. Up next is the Happy New Year start looking for new employment layoffs and everyone RTO to your new hub, dirty conference room, cube, hallway and sit on the floor assignments.
Don’t forget to BYOTP, cleaning and restroom supplies unless you work at the new multi-million dollar restoration in Dallas, it’s the office building of the entitled who live in a bubble.
12/13 there were cuts.
Why would they layoff mass numbers right now, they will just wait for Jan 6 attrition and the flawed presence reports to let people go with no severance needed.
Several people were laid off, last day was 12/13.
Laying off just before Christmas is a long standing T tradition. I am certain Stink Grinch did it again this year.
