What you HCSC folks don’t yet realize is; having Cigna MA will bring you lots and lots of CMS audits and scrutiny. Prepare to regularly work with Ernst & Young and Deloitte auditors. It’s a blast!

Wow. I don’t think threats are the way to start. It’s a fairly polite culture and hope to keep it that way.

Wow! That's just what Cigna MA folks need, someone creating animosity already. We are coming in from a very toxic environment with alot of instability. HCSC, let's grow MA together and make it a benchmark for other plans to aspire to be.

Nothing like them trying to bury this huge release by releasing on 12/23. If you google it, it does not even come up that there is a new President of BCBSIL or over Government programs. Welcome to HCSC. Think about this when they talk about how ethical of a company HCSC is.

I guess someone here doesn’t know that being on the acquired side means they were the B side not the A side of the deal.

As the aforementioned newsroom link states: “… who served as HCSC’s Medicare president, is leaving the company to pursue a new opportunity.”

Is that sufficient proof?

Medicare Advantage is no longer a high profit venture that it used to be. The American people are fed up with our tax dollars being used to deny or limit care/coverage so some executive and share holders can make massive profits. That is what Cigna has done for years. The feds have been clamping down on these practices and many for-profit insurance companies are getting out of the Medicare business. I hope HCSC can do better than our greedy Cigna executives. Medicare Advantage is still a viable business in the right hands.

Head of Medicare? I had not heard that. Would you be so kind as to provide some evidence?

Well, our (HCSC’s) head of Medicare just quit, so this is going to get interesting.

To the original poster, you have your thinking backwards. HCSC bought Cigna, not the other way around. They are the overlords, not you. I am also a Cigna refugee that will be conveying to HCSC soon.
To the staff at HCSC, I look forward to working with you. Happy Holidays.
