As per Wiki - Kavri is a free flowing river.
The code base for FOS applications is hosted on an environment with restrictive access. Only DXC programmers had access to the program files — not the architect or coaches, nor American team members. It was hard for everyone to understand what was going on with the code, forcing dependency on the programmers.

Kaveri is the rather new Chief Marketing Officer. Needs to spin this disaster. But don’t let American fool you. They have been in complete control of their system’s architecture, design, and implementation for years. Other IT providers are mostly grunt services and labor.
@2epw+1w8MGHcY I totally agree. The only silver lining here is that the disruption was resolved in an hour. I did think it was interesting that Drumgoole highlighted United at Amazon reinvent after years of DXC using American in its marketing. Perhapse the american relationship is in the rocks? I'd expect some heads need to roll here and Raul hasn't been shy in that regard. So expect to see that.
not quite the same impact as the Delta Airlines Crowdstrike debacle back in July, or the Southwest meltdown 2 years ago - but American were very quick to point the finger at DXC which most news outlets picked up and included in their reports, and which should make for "fun" supplier account reviews in the coming months
@1hxe+1w8MGHcY whats fake about it?clearly states it in the first sentence they are blaming DXC.
"American Airlines Group Inc. said that a tech issue with DXC Technology Co., a third-party vendor that maintains the company’s flight-operating systems"
Another fake news. No where it mentions DXC. Absolute rubbish. Please have nothing else better to do than make up stories?

They are blaming it on the DXC Network Team, no surprise there then, when they finally come off their strike. Probably got the local delivery team to restart the device.
a technical glitch forced the carrier to issue an hour-long ground stop, disrupting travel for thousands on Christmas Eve, one of the busiest periods of the year.
The issue that briefly affected the carrier's ability to get its planes in the air involved network hardware and was caused by DXC Technology, an operating system vendor responsible for maintaining its flight operations, the airline said.
Care to explain how?
Pay peanuts and you will get gurus 🤣
That will go down like a lead balloon, at a very busy time. Kaveri going to be spinning that for a while.
