We all know the company’s goal was to push us to quit by stretching out the threat of layoffs for months, making the atmosphere unbearable. I wish more people had toughed it out and stayed, but I know that wasn’t an option for everyone. Sadly, their plan succeeded to some extent, though I’d love to know just how well it actually worked.

Imagine if the "leadership" spent as much time developing a sustainable, innovative plan for Chevron's future as they do playing headcount games.
I guess nowhere near as much as they wanted! I see an increasing number of contractors fleeing the caustic atmosphere in the new year while blue badges flounder under the stress or pick up ever higher levels of crawling. Decision making at all levels will collapse until reorganisation announcements happen…….The Human Energy company at it’s best!
