A sale is less likely than a spinoff. Honeywell rarely leaves enough meat on the bone to make a potential buyer interested. Maybe some Indian company that lives off old products bought from the likes of IBM ( cough clear case).
Would love to see the IT disaster that a spinoff will cause. Charlie and the other ten US citizens left in IT are going to need some help.

They started asset enhancements around my building. I told people that they're probably going to relocate us or sell the building.
Now they're talking about spitting out the aerospace division. I really believe when this happens. They will merge with general electric.
If this happens, or they relocate us. Layoffs within the whole attire aerospace divisions. More detail to come next quarterly results. Hold on to your hats kids. Some of us might fall out.
Lets come back to this thread in a couple of months, there was a strong reaction from HR bot that makes me suspect some truth in the rumor.

Keep waiting and hoping. I've been in that boat for a while and have seen younger others get it, but not me. Honeywell seems to be waiting me out.
I'm hoping so. Give me my 6 months severance, I'll gladly retire now.
