Pathetic payrise in my paypacket

Long serving UK employee, the much trumpeted payrise was in my paypacket for December which I received today.

After tax, pension, etc. I am getting an extra £30 ($40) per month.....

Utterly pathetic.

The bit that really irks me is being gaslit by the 'leaders' on Townhalls regarding how great the work we're all doing is, how people are our most important asset and how much work and money has gone into this pay review.

Many of us didn't choose to join the org as you put it. I joined HP and ended up in this pathetic excuse for a company.

There are people who live on £30. So give back if you can . You made a choice to join the org. You can make the same choice to join another of your choice if you are not happy and use every time to upskill and make yourselves relevant. Constant whinging is not going to take you anywhere . Life is full of ups and downs . Deal with it like a man. Merry Xmas

Angry Mikey You are angry but you will do nothing about it, you're lucky DXC gave you anything. Why should they as you are pi---d off that after tax increase is 40 pounds, if you don't like it then leave. But I bet you will be posting all next year and the year after that because you have no ba--s and won't leave.

As others mentioned, why are you still here? Only way to get something anything is to resign and go to a better place.

If you Stay here, expect the same to continue!

Run to the nearest exit.

I got 0%, with inflation between 2 - 3%, thats a -£1200 cut, i have to find that money from somewhere, and this has been on going for years.

Its nit fair to receive cuts every year, the company can keep on dreaming its growth targets, the managers that gave me the cut are in capable of growing the company, they are always backward looking, they need to be replaced with Keasley's who have a growth outlook.

Yeah same here mate but I'd already done the maths when I was told what they were giving me.

No shocks.

Not even a pound a day extra.

@obv+1w4Lq7GN quit in 2023 but hanging around here spouting useless advice like "just get another job". Yeah the job market is phenomenal at the moment, you can practically walk into a new job.

Dum--ss.

Here's a suggestion, you don't like the way DXC is treating you then grow a set of ba--s and change employers ! You are are a bunch of little cry babies, grow up!

I quit in 2023 as I had enough, 3 pay increases later as of now on my new job

I'm surprised non of the lower managers objected to the ITO delivery manager above when they clearly knew it was unethical to take money from people who had worked hard and achieved all year to give adjustment raises to others. Apologetically my manager openly told me my raise is being given to someone else.

Its "robbing Peter to pay Paul". So much for DXCs ethical training.

That’s fine. In the UK us virtual workers just take even more time off and have shorter working days to compensate for f all pay increases. Managers don’t care as they spend all day in pointless meetings trying to justify their importance. World class indeed Raaaooouuull.

I think they just tossed a coin to see got something and who didn't. Complete layabouts got something in some teams. Hard workers nothing. It's seemingly irrelevant what you do or don't do.

£30 pm extra.....count yourself lucky. F all for the last 10 years despite great performance and glowing feedback.
Manager said "you're in the top 3rd of your banding so we're going to give the money to those on minimum wage"
Really !!!
Last straw, out in 2025 !

"I am getting an extra £30 ($40) per month..."

Luck you, You must be a in with the Newcastle Gang to get a raise, or in not in ITO delivery tower as other towers got fairer raises.

Non friends of the Newcastle gang got 0%, £30pm of our raises were taken off us and given to you.

I'm a Long serving employee without a raise for years, Absolute sh-t, how am i going to pay my extra bills and food after another of negative pay.

Given we're at what for most is the last working hour or the year. I've not even received a thank you for your efforts email from my management line. I don't count some smarm from Cameron F Art. They can't even say thank you - so don't expect everyone to come bounding back in the new year.

Forty pounds a month net is not bad. There are people in the US who have not got anything for decades.
