How do we get our politicians to care about Chevron’s plan to send US jobs overseas? Do we need a petroleum technology/ engineering union? How do we get investors to care about US jobs? Activist investment?

Manufacturing jobs in the US have been declining since the Second World War. They make up less than ten percent of the workforce today. The majority of these reductions are due to automation in factories- see the auto industry- or manufacturing that began highly automated- see silicon wafers. Certainly offshoring has had an impact as well. Nothing the incoming administration plans to do will change the overall situation.
Write local news, national news, local politicians. Post in finance investor forums such as yahoo finance.
Don't forget to add the greed aspect. they're shedding us jobs to reward shareholders including the executives leading it. The company is already profitable, but positioning itself to make the rich richer at the expense of middle class jobs. If this trend continues among companies, we wont have a middle class.
Trump is only worried about bringing back manufacturing jobs and the re-shoring soundbites. Priorities, bring back factory jobs and lose good white collar jobs lol
Politicians answer to the donors. The politicians got your vote, so now they won’t have to answer to voters for 2 years. No refunds.
It’s not just Chevron it’s Exxon and Shell and the beginning of a trend. Thousands of jobs. No different than making a car or a plane overseas. Not a popular move with the Trump administration.
Oil from US soil should equal US jobs.

The are millions of Jobs outsourced.. now you someone will care about 600 .. I know the number will be bigger but negligible compared to millions
Politicians are drawn like moths to a flame to big donors who help them get re-elected. They could not care less about a few hundred, or even a thousand, jobs going overseas.
DJT said no to offshoring by USA companies. Unless they buy his made in china trinkets for high dollar.
Write and call your congressman and senators. Get everyone you know to do so. Also contact your local media and tell them what's going on. If Chevron get embarrassed for getting rid of American jobs things might change.
