No one wants to live in Midland

Another MCBU Midland Leadership is leaving the company. When will they listen to the employees that no one wants to live here. At least relocate the office employees to Lubbock or up the PEP. #G-nsUp

Don’t they give an uplift for Midland? Looked at the RBU but seems like PSG was lower for same jobs and the cost of living was stupid high! I guess if you don’t like Midland you can wait for ND with the Hess purchase! :)

I like how people be saying it's only white people out here and there's no flavor... Us mexicans out here be like what???? Plus we got to be over 50 percent by now but that may be counting the infamous truck drivers from a different place..

It depends on your lifestyle. If you are white, have kids and like backyard barbecues plus ski trips to NM, it is ok. If you are diverse, like culture or food, it is a dead end.

Name the function of the leader leaving, otherwise calling fake news. Plenty of people want to stay in Midland. Lots of work to be done, best field exposure you can get in upstream in a domestic location, and the people there are diverse and welcoming. I've been back and forth there a couple times during my career and I'd go back again if the job is right. I'd much rather live in Midland again than go anywhere near Red Raider Rash territory.

Wife and I don’t want to leave Midland. Except it’s hard to get recognized staying here. Seen so many come out for 1-3 years and then leave with a promotion.

I like Midland ok. Why would you post such a comment. It may not be where you want to stay forever but It's fine for a temporary job location.

A lot of people like it, I don't live there but I don't mind if there are positions available.
