Thread regarding Elevance Health (Anthem) layoffs

Corrupt vendor management and IT leadership

Ratnakar needs to watch what is going on in the vendor management area and in the IT leadership. Already a few IT leaders were kicked out for taking kickbacks from vendors and the rumor is that even Anil B was removed because of shady dealings with vendors.

Another point to note is that most of the IT staffing vendors selected are non public traded companies like Deloitte, UST, and more. They are not so binding to the corrupt practices acts/ regulations, can be flexible how they report expenses, and can pay kickbacks generously and in foreign country.

So there is corruption all over in this company. This company is domed.

After reading these comments. I think the company is doomed. I'm glad I refused to work on a corrupt scam IT project. Told em, " I want nothing to do with this"

It’s what happens when the system you are charged to shepherd and your connection to that same system is distant or non existent.

Wasn’t Ratnakar let go from Nike for such corruption scenarios? We knew what we were hiring

Ultimately responsibility is on the board … they continue to approve hires that have been known to do the shady.

I’ve witnessed first hand the conflict of interest (corruption) for vendors who receive contracts. If you think Rat is unaware, you’d be mostly wrong.

UST is another piece of sh-t company. Bad quality of engineers, bad results but still getting millions of dollars of contracts.
The rumor is UST is paying these IT executives off and that to payments made in India.
This is the third world culture being thrust upon us Americans.

Hope Ratnakar is watching what is going on under his nose.

It’s not just an Indian problem.
It’s a Staff VP and above executives’ problem including C suite. Deloitte is most corrupt company that favors our C suite

For example, Our Staff VPs bring in their favorite golf friend’s company in and loaded the staff vp pocket with $$$, vacation vouchers

This does not happen in every company.

This is an Indian problem.

Indian society is corrupt by nature. If you don’t believe me, just ask any of your Indian colleagues in confidence.

Ratnakar caring if his team is corrupt……blahahahahahahahha!

Good one! needed a laugh this morning.

If these “leaders” are good at anything, it’s failing forward. They leave their previous area a dumpster fire and move on somewhere else with higher compensation. It’s what these leeches do.

This is why we spend all our time migrating from one system to another, instead of simply solving the problems we have. A problem is an opportunity to sell a different story, while getting a little 🪙 in the process.

This topic is like saying the sun comes up in the morning. What’s this got to do with layoffs?
And, yes, I’m planning my exit strategy.

So why force us worker bees to go through training about corruption when leadership knows they are already breaking all of the rules???? What a waste of time!!!

You can scream, bark, and cry but no one in any company Leadership cares about your opinion, as long as they get vendor sponsored dinners, vacations and filled pockets with $$$.

It probably just dawned on you but this has been the case since eternity. Executives and Staff VPs enjoyed their share of vacation sprees, business class fights, and swimming pool in their backyard under the table ‘white elephant looks alike’ gifts like cookies with vacation vouchers, and will still do.
