Impact Awards for points redirected to just email, no points by “leadership”.

I was at that event. Can confirm. I do think exec was surprised. I'm sure the reports he gets havent indicated any issues. I bet as soon as it ran out of money, it stopped appearing on enough status reports that he forgot about it.
This is what happens when you have a culture of dishonesty in favor of pretty green status for pretty green paychecks.
I actually gave out 2 last week before reading this! Management asked me to revise from 500 points to 250 tho..
In a recent "senior exec comes to your PulsePoint to listen to you and talk with you" sessions, one of the meeting attendees expressed frustration that they'd submitted and Impact Award but it wasn't approved. Said exec expressed surprise. Um, hello?
They give managers a tiny budget for impact awards and they have to get permission to give it out. It didn't used to be that way until Gail (Granny Suit) came along and started micromanaging.
You did not get the Impact Award because "they ran out of funds" - months earlier everyone was encouraged to send E Cards - instead of Impact Awards except Sales - they get trips, concerts etc.
I submitted 3 impact award nominations. 1 clinical leadership Medicaid west , 2 individual contributors Medicaid west . ALL DENIED . Smh
This time of year they won’t approve impact awards.
But…if you have $$$ to spend go spend them. I had 2k points to spend before my RIF. Thanks, Elevance. /sarcasm.
While it's great recognition and a morale booster - ultimately they're b.s. I had 3 or 4 one year, some from my leaders, and was still RIFd. None of it matters.
Honestly impact awards make zero difference.
I was told an Impact Award was being submitted for me and it never came through. I guess it was denied also. Everyone is afraid of bringing attention to spending money that is not absolutely necessary.
ours are denied when we try to submit impact awards
I disagree. It's nice to both give and receive these, no doubt, but I'd keep your heads down if I were you - both the submitter and recipient would probably become targets of the company's ire.
