Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

TownHall 25Nov by Rowall

Email gone out inviting everyone to a fireside town howl. Thanks to all who submitted questions(Leadership fools only). No live questions are being allowed. I wonder why. Is he scared of the pay rise questions?

It was the most nauseating 30 odd minutes I can remember, just how many times can they thank each other for sitting at a desk?

I was wrong. It wasn't a "work hard team, see you in six weeks" (typical for mgmt during the holidays) call after all. It was a freaking recording...

Make career elsewhere. Take steps towards new employer. DXC is a sinking ship. Trust your abilities not dxc leadership. Rather than crying after layoff(which happened to me I. August 2024 when the market is froze and didn’t get a job till now) , do an effort to apply and move to new job.

We are not obligated to serve politicians in the line of work. If you leave or layoff at dxc, that the best thing happened when you look back after few years

Camron F Art can afford 3 takeaways. Didn't read further. I cannot afford one take away. Well I can, but I really cannot justify it when there's been no pay rise for 10 years. Got to switch off soon, as the light is fading and I'm trying to save my lost salary by not having unnecessary lights on to do unnecessary DXC work.

Work to rule. Don't attend these pointless meetings. If they want overtime, sorry not happening. You go and explain to the clients why you cannot get anyone out of hours. Something about nobody gets paid enough to care. And everything about it's not worth their time begging for senior management overtime approval to make £20, or an hour off.

Often Town halls were for us in UK - more signs of no pay increases and further Job losses.

Find a new employer already and stop bi--hing about merit pay increases. OMG its been 7 years or since DXC was created and no merit pay increases, its the DXC way and if you can’t figure that out by now you belong at DXC

I remember when HPE ES was acquired by CSC to form DXC. HPE cancelled the annual pay review held around Dec for implementation in Feb. The execs said it would be picked up in the new company in July. July came and went. You all know the rest. Maybe they are announcing an acquisition. They’ll tell employees the new company will pickup the compensation review. Kick the can, and employees, down the road some more.

When I received the invite my first reaction was "You mean there's actually a US-based manager that is going to work Thanksgiving week? That's weird."
They'll phone this one in then head out I assume.

** NO NOT ATTEND **

Our inept management need to see they have lost the goodwill of the staff. Every time you show up and beg for a pay rise it doesn't happen, or we're fobbed off. If they sit there on their own, they have to question where they staff are. I can tell you now. It's taking 2 days off to cover 10 years of no pay rises. When they care to pay what they pay incoming new staff who add little value for months because nobody will show them anything. Then maybe we'll get somewhere....
