ABU Holiday Party

Must be nice to have a huge holiday ball at the Crown Towers whilst the rest of company in shambles. Massively out of touch!

Optics, @1ata, optics. You must not have been around for "One Team" behavior. Only senior management is eligible for 'let them eat cake' attitude.

ABU cash flows over $200 million per month back to the US. I think a holiday party can be slipped into the budget.

The ABU Ball is subsidised by the Social Club (collects annual dues) and attendees have to buy tickets.

Go Aussies. Company needs way more team building and social events that are not cheap ice creams. Company showing its appreciation builds morale and is a drop is a drop in the bucket impact on cost. Celebrate and don't be so miserable

Started letting green badgers go and the local paper had s story of cvx job cuts which was obviously leaked to encourage people to look elsewhere so things are no different.

I fondly recall some amazing ABU Christmas parties. How about the one at Queen's gardens with live camels, belly dancers with pythons, gogo dancers on towers, and a completely inebriated speech from the MD (RK)? It was mayhem.

You know Australia's pay their own way for their holiday party? It is deducted from their pack checks every months, and even then they end up paying $100+++
