Do they really really get 2 yrs severance regardless of years of service?? That's so much more than the typical severance.
2 years is an auto call.
They first have to teach Purdeep how to do their jobs. Then they'll get laid off.
Wrong. These aren’t people quitting they are being fired.
Exxon will release 110 employees by the end of 2024 and another 178 throughout 2025. The remainder of the cuts, about 100 employees, will take place in 2026, according to the filing.
The layoffs will mostly affect employees in Pioneer's offices in the Dallas suburb of Irving and the West Texas town of Midland, according to the notice.
This isn’t a layoff. This is people not wanting to move from DFW or people not liking the new company/benefits. If Las Colinas wasn’t shutting down in a couple of years, this number would likely be much smaller.
For two years of pay it would be a hesitation free decision. Dear exxon please offer two years' pay and I won't even come in tomorrow.
I mean, if I got offered two years pay to walk I’d be gone that same day!
We already know it was coming.
