I hear Balaji is extremely smart and capable. But after that townhall, it is hard to believe. The evidence says otherwise. The brain rot at Chevron is real. We’ve lost all ability to have original thought, critical thinking, and real conversations
These executives really need to be a lot more somber when doing town halls. Read the room. It’s like they are all neurodiverse.
There is no more Chevron culture. The culture now is "be sure you have 2 days of badge swipes each week regardless of anything, so if you don't we can fire you."
I heard the Chevron Way culture was going to pot, that it's OK to be an a$$hole as long as you make $$.

We are really hosed now because the people who played these shell games the best are running everything. Their plan to fix it is no surprise. Save money cutting real technical work and more "initiatives".
Balaji was definitely chosen for his skill set and experience. Definitely not because of where he came from.
