Personal attacks, veiled racism and s-xism, misinformation…come on U.S. Bankers, what happened to the superior moral and ethical compass we all cling to?

I think it’s rather brave to question ethics, integrity and accomplishments of those hired to lead, especially executive leadership coming in from the outside of the organization. I assume people, with good intentions, have shared their feedback in surveys and with their managers, only to be ignored or worse, reprimanded.
Additionally, any company that offshores jobs is doing so purely to boost their bottom line.
Imagine with me, if you would, a time when American companies paid fair wages to their American workers and everyone still somehow made money.
These offshoring companies must be shamed and reminded as often as possible that they are taking jobs away from the American people.
I am actively praying on these company’s downfall and will rejoice when offshoring jobs does not work out for them.
People scratch their heads and wonder why the wealth gap deepens and how the undue influence the billionaire class grows, then in the same breath see nothing wrong with offshoring work, hiring phonies (who only look good on their LinkedIn profile), and outsource decision making to McKinsey to make more PowerPoint slides.
I have nothing against these contractors, I enjoy working with them and they deserve time off, it’s just annoying that I am too busy to take vacation and then I have to cover for them for weeks. I should quit being a martyr and take vacation whenever I want.
I bet the contractors taking unpaid time off to go to India got taken down because the contractors are taking the time off PAID. Quite a bit of money gets exchanged on under the table between vendors/agencies and hiring managers. Can’t bill out hours if the contractors aren’t “working”.
I had a post about how the onshore contractors get unpaid leave, but leave just the same to go to India for weeks leaving employees who have no time take vacation to cover for them. That thread was deleted quickly. My guess is that the moderators are in India.
Nobody trusts the current leadership, and they haven’t done enough to warrant that trust, that’s essentially the bottom line. People matter.
Seems to me there have been too many people hired from those other less-than-ethical banks and they are diluting the good so many built.
I haven’t noticed s-xism or racism that rises to the level of slander. Someone pointing out that Jodi favors women because she is a woman is not slander. As for racism, have not seen any of that. To the contrary, there are members of the managing committee who invite conversations about race and ethnicity. Example being a leader named Dominski who around white people goes by Reba, but around people of color and when convenient will revert to Ravathi. To me, that feels a little manipulative.
I agree on the racism, s-xism, et al popping up as of late. Don't get me wrong, USB is criminally mismanaged but some posters have gotten a bit too comfortable with their abject racism/s-xism.
Incompetence, malfeasance, and a general disdain for the rank and file employees is a rampant and pervasive part of USB culture. Bringing racist and s-xist remarks contributes nothing of value to this board or anything else for that matter.
Now about the purpose of this board... What's the story? Is 11/15 the last working day of the people laid off last month, or will there also be new layoffs on Friday as well? There seems to be some confusion around it.
Are you the person who commented on the Jodi thread? If so, have you worked with her?
That would be true if the forum wasn’t actively administered - posts containing slurs and insults get nuked on a regular basis. If you think mods missed something, you might try shooting them an email - I reckon it’s not that hard to report something considering each post has a unique post ID.
Sounds like one of our inept leaders coming out of the shadows. How very brave. Why don’t you ask yourselves why this page is as active as it is. Underperforming the norm, dysfunction all around, worst moral in the industry let alone USB history, but sure let’s call out the scared, tired, and mistreated middle managers for venting to each other as a coping mechanism. I haven’t read anything here that is slanderous. If it was, I’m sure the many attorneys following the page would take action. Go back to your navel gazing and binge drinking.
People need to stop making their job their entire life. Just go in, do the work and go home. It doesn't need to be their entire personality.
