Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

Anyone else noticing how hard it is to be an employee and get promoted? But if you worked for Humana- it’s easy to get an executive position! Lots of seasoned experts have been waiting in line to be promoted, but passed up because someone from Humana got the opportunity. I’m sure they are good, but not a good way to reward experts who have been dedicated and hard workers.

Guess we should apply to Humana if we want promotions.

See beyond a title and promotion and stop comparing yourself to everyone else.

“Hey guys I’ve done all these things and I need a fancy title to display on my desk at home that others got faster than me! Oh and my LinkedIn profile! I need a fancy title and a status update to boast about because I am a nobody unless I get a promotion as fast as other people!”

Perhaps see yourself and your worth beyond your title.

You know what? Quit here. Go to Humana. Go be an exec. Oh and they do layoffs too.

God I couldn’t imagine life worrying about what others do. Your self worth in your career is based on others and how fast they promote. Oh and guess what.. Im not in management or anywhere close to it. Just go already.
