Thread regarding NTT Data layoffs

managed services sla-ghter

They just laid off almost 100 US employees in the Managed Services (Secure-24) division. Rumors are more layoffs in February. NTT absolutely ruined a once great company, and I am extremely bitter.

Couple years ago they completely fu---d the entire NA sales pipeline for managed services because they fired or pushed out all our US sales force lol.

Now there are a bunch of former McKinsey turds running things and the only thing those guys ever learned was how to outsource absolutely everything.

To NTT Data clients - enjoy getting the runaround from now on as they scramble to figure how to manage everything with 0 knowledge. If your question isn't in their script, you'll be SOL.

layoffs occurred last week in Technology solutions division. They want to keep it secret but 65% of the sales force was let go and given three weeks to find other positions, of which there aren't any. A sad end for the once mighty Dimension Data. NTT Data however has a history of absorbing companies and then dissolving the sales organization about a year or two into it. Of course, they broke the company and put terrible leadership in place. It's been a revolving door of business strategy and quite depressing

I worked for NTT/S24 right as the merger finished. I was there 4 years prior to that and worked in Quality. I remember I just got off a client meeting and got a message from my boss at the time that we had a meeting in 10 minutes. Thinking nothing of it I get on the call and there were people on the call I've never spoken to before. They let me go so quickly and it had nothing to do with my performance according to them. Boss was red in the face as if he didn't agree. They let me go with a severance and washed their hands of me. That really crushed me and I really thought I was dreaming. 5 years of hard work flushed down the drain in a matter of minutes. I feel bad for anyone who's going thru this at the moment. I wish you good luck and hope you find something better than you had with NTT.

It’s the same damn bullsh-t. They fire talented people or just let them slip away because they can’t be bothered to value or support their workers. Then what happens? They lose clients because they can’t deliver the same quality of work anymore. And still, they stand there bragging about all the business they’ve got in the pipeline—yeah, right! They can’t even close deals, and now they’re tens of millions in the hole.

And the solution? Lay off more people. The CEO is a complete and utter id--t. Sending all the engineering and customer-facing jobs overseas? That was the final blow, the dagger to the heart of what used to be an incredible, thriving organization. We were profitable, and the employees were genuinely happy. Now? It’s all gone.

I gave close to ten years of my life to this company. I believed in it. And now I’m just another casualty of their short-sighted, destructive decisions. It’s beyond heartbreaking—it’s infuriating. Watching everything fall apart like this, it feels like everything we built is being flushed down the drain. What a waste. What a damn tragedy.

Strange, CFO, KPW, announced a $48m dollar year over year increase in revenue from same time last year but they are reducing US staff headcount due to financial restraints.
Not company I would trust to take my business forward into the ever changing tech world.

It is so unfortunate to see a company as large and as profitable as NTT treat their employees like this. We are nothing but a number and even though our salaries are among the lowest in the industry, that's still not enough for NTT's greed. The worst feeling I have ever experienced as a supervisor is having to lie straight to my employees' face about the next round of layoffs. Yes, there will be another round between February and April 2025, "If sales don't improve in the third quarter", according to upper management. Even with a massive deal on the horizon and increasing profits every year, it's still not enough. NTT wants 0 US employees, because our measly starting salary of $33,500/year is too expensive for them. I hope people see this and understand how horrible of a company NTT is to work for and anyone left gets out now while they can and finds a company to work for that actually cares about you.

The whole company is a sh-tshow. Dan Albright has absolutely gutted consulting and Aaron Millstone in charge of Client Growth is a joke. The only thing that clown has grown is his bank account since he's been here. And let's not forget about "Launch" the shiny new toy to drive technology, except it's nothing but a shiny tu-d that can't do anything. All the leadership here just pads their bank accounts as they bleed business and headcount.

On one hand the company has a lot of big deals in the works, on another hand they’re actively laying off people in droves, because let’s face it, US employees aren’t cheap. So unless you live in the UK/India, you’re next! Gtfo while you can. This company gives zero fu--s about you our your contributions. And with a week of pay for every year of service, their severance package is a complete joke in this economy. Can you live for several months or years on a few weeks of pay, in today’s economy? Get out while you can.

NTT leadershit here,

Just a reminder to start tracking your time down to the very MINUTE. Doing so will better assist us in laying you off!

To make this as easy as possible for you, we have gone live with our rushed instance of garbage-now. We understand that you will spend more time trying to figure out how to track your time than actually doing meaningful work, but we really need your cooperation here. Help us to help you!

I look forward to setting up a surprise meeting to go over your termination soon.

Eat sh-t,
Some guy probably on a yacht

What’s even worse, is that there has been no communication to any of the remaining staff. I’ve also heard the rumor that there could be another round of layoffs in February. Employee morale is extremely low and people are afraid to talk about it.

Can't wait for the next all hands where Charlie Li will gaslight us all the more again and act like he's doing us all such a favor by being upfront and honest about everything.

I mostly feel bad for our clients and our coworkers who remain.

My thoughts are with my former Secure-24 colleagues. I started my career at S24 for 3 years prior to Covid. It was such a great team and a hardworking group back then. Really hope everyone lands on their feet

I was canned two years ago to the day. Every six months on the dot they laid off a group of people. Another chop picking apart a great organization that was built from the ground up. So sorry to hear about my old brothers and sisters being let go Just before the holidays.

I briefly worked there as a client architect and the team I worked with were some of the most talented people I've ever met. Really a shame to break up such a great and knowledgeable team.
