Live DJ in Las Vegas, advertising commercials with formula one racers, spotlights, lasers, special effects machines… didn’t two layoffs happen in the last month?

It’s not a fast food business. Year after year products are harder to use. The company is shipping buggy software and does not listen to customers.
ill-advised behavior
That's an F5 tradition. I remember one sales conference where a newly hired Australian account executive (had been at the company a week) got fired because he punched another AE at the kickoff reception. I also remember one at the Hyatt in Bellevue where a stressed in-house counsel was dealing with a Japanese employee who got arrested after groping a waitress at Joey.
Connect / international sales conference / SKO "sales kickoff" is required for any company like F5. And since 2019, F5 has only had two in-person, one this year and one in 2022. Sales people expect it in the industry and it's required. This one was already extremely cut back compared to 2022, and that was cut back from 2019. You have to keep sales people motivated to hit their quotas somehow.
There were at least 4 f5ers that I know of who were fired at this years Connect due to "ill-advised behavior", so we're saving money already.

Don’t forget we are RESOURCES! Don’t managers remind you this at meetings?
Yeah, because customers care more about flashing events than products functionality.
