Need some details and context (no names or initials, please) on the backstabbing incident.
Not a single colleague in Marketing (literally I've spoken to at least two dozen colleagues in recent weeks / past few months) who is not actively interviewing with other companies. Or at minimum, aggressively searching for new roles outside of Alteryx.
It's a tough market out there, and the good jobs are few and far between. I think the issue is compounded by the fact that many, if not most, at Alteryx (at all levels) have been up-leveled 1-2 levels by title, and also they have been compensated higher than most employers are willing to pay for new hires right now. Unfortunately, it's not 2021 and 2022 anymore, and employers (again) have the upper hand on compensation and perks.
So, for many if not most of those who are actively leaving Alteryx for new roles, they are taking titles equivalent or a level below their Alteryx title, and they are taking pay cuts anywhere from 10-30%. And that doesn't include extra bonus and stock comp.
It's a hard bullet for many to bite, which is why many more people haven't already left the company!! Lots of folks are just biding their time, interviewing, and PRAYING for the right job to come along and land in their lap.
Rude awakening, eh? You all are going to have to bite the bullet and take a title and a pay cut. The sooner you face that, the easier it will be to land that job outside of Alteryx !!!!
You know it's true.
