NESC's phone is not answering. I was cut today

OP brings up a good point.
This is why Ford delays mass layoffs for so long. Because they can't get the support system correct. In August 2022, the management lease garage was overwhelmed with managers laid off returning their vehicles. NESC is an outsourced POS that couldn't handle an uptick in volume of just a few dozen daily inquiries. Outsourced HR can't keep up with more than a handful of RIFs at a time.
In fact, the mass layoff at Ford is a thing of the past. The norm now is a few dozen a month to fly under the radar.
That is until the mass one when this junk company files for bankruptcy.
It's coming.....
To anyone actually believing that Model E is growing, you must have your head in the ground. There are THOUSANDS of Lightnings & MachE sitting on dealer lots, they are losing so much money on every vehicle sold and are still throwing an extra $25k of incentives to try to move them. Some vehicles are 2.5 years old at this point sitting on lots. They've stopped producing Lightnings for the foreseeable future. These were an absolute disaster.
You've been with the company 20 years and they only are giving you a few weeks pay as severance??? Will you get health benefits for longer? That's horrible. I'm so sorry. Hope you find a better opportunity and in the end it turns out for the best.
There needs to be massive layoffs in Model-eh and that money needs to be plowed back into making the ICE vehicles more reliable.
i was given until end of November for pay. After that, I'd have to accept their package. i'm over 20 years in and told the LL5 and the LL4 I was only staying for another 15 months and I've been interviewing at other departments. No reason given and HR has been less than helpful in any answers at all.

Here’s the article about the EV tax credit.
https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/trumps-transition-team-aims-ki-l-biden-ev-tax-credit-2024-11-14/
I saw a report via Reuters that the incoming administration is going to cut the $7500 EV tax credit, with support from Musk.
..."We will decrease our production numbers for all of our ICE products"
This will help bankrupt the company sooner...
NESE is a “joke” every time you deal with them you deal with a clues bunch. They don’t hav a clue what they are talking about.
..."Then, customers will have more incentive to buy the EVs that we produce."
There has never been a d-mber take than this. But of course he's joking. No one with a brain could really be this dense. Lol. Political climate yes...incentives will plummet. Model e's blank check will expire. This dunce apparently at least acknowledges that...
Model e needs to remain vigilant now more than ever. With the new political climate that is about to take over, we will need to be even more aggressive about selling our EVs.
I think the solution will be simple. We will decrease our production numbers for all of our ICE products. Then, customers will have more incentive to buy the EVs that we produce.
How many weeks of pay did they give to you when they laid off you? From Which functional team ? Thanks. Take care.
@1zqc+1vsSXXxh - no. in fact no reason was given.
Did they use a "bad performance" as the excuse?
It’s not only California. There are several states (16 I think) that have adopted Californias rules as their own. The issue is much larger than a single market
I wouldn’t say Model E is in growth mode. Compared to the projections that were made when the org was started, E is in contraction / stay alive mode. We are selling a fraction of what was forecasted and capacitized. The headcount and investments scaled way quicker than the actual business.
I think that Ford will be taking a hard look at the viability of the model e plans.
California may still have an electric vehicle mandate. And China may need electric vehicles because they don't have a lot of domestic oil production. But I don't think the U.S. is going to be needing EVs that cost more than ICE cars to buy and repair.
Nothing going on in Model e that I know of. But then again, there shouldn't be reductions in an organization that is in growth mode
If Ford don't need you anymore, then you are gone. We are all just a number.
It has been this way for many years.
The company doesn't have to announce if if they offer a severance package equal to or grater to the fine they would get for not announcing it.
I don't think there is a mass layoff as the Company would have to announce it. However, I did hear from someone who said they were being let go today.
