Promotion Salary Increase

Can anyone give insight on typical increase for promotion going from individual contributor to senior manager on same team? I’m currently a low band 4 individual contributor and applying for high band 4 Senior manager role.

My current salary is already at the low end of the range for the Sr. manager position and I’m also located in a very high cost of living market. Job posting has a huge salary range.

Wow! I have had several promotions including band jumps and never exceeded even 9%

Next time please please please negotiate, this is REALLY bad. I've never gotten lower than 15% for a band increase.

The reality is if you can leave Cigna for another company, you generally will get a bigger pay increase than working hard for a promotion,

I couldn't give you a range, I would say the 12-15% is about right. However, it does matter if you are lower the low range, I once got a 19% because I was drastically underpaid in the role I was leaving. (From High B3 to Mid B4)
