Best company on the planet period...work for fun..

What happened? The rich got greedier over the last few decades is what happened. They are fat pigs that are now on ozempic.
It’s still a great company for many Longmont ppl. I keep seeing many flaunting their Tshirts, ID cards and rolling out in costly cars
Sales drives revenue, but without engineers there ain't no products to sell It's nothing new that sales is handsomely incentivized, which is true for many companies
You ungrateful louts!!! You're getting monthly ice cream socials that must cost at least $100 for all that express machine ice cream and bottled water! Bunch of entitled whiners.
The sad parking lot party looked like a funeral as I walked by to quiet quit early for the day. The 2 cars on display for the classic car show gave me a chuckle. Oh yeah other companies do stuff like company days at the ballpark or book out hockey game seats or other events for employees on a regular basis. Rewards for meeting goals and stuff. This company does nothing. It’s crazy your team can meet a major product milestone on time and in budget and nobody on the team gets anything. Never seen this anywhere else. Engineers used to get a nice Hawaii day long ago but it turned into having sales team only events and nothing for anyone else. Seagate used to have an amusement park day for families but I guess spending a few thousand on that every year was just too much of a sacrifice. It’s crazy to see a product engineer team work hard to meet goals only to get no reward or thanks over and over while the company reaps a billion from it.
@1jtu - I think you nailed it. The ECO, Hawaii and large annual events were Luczo/Watkins and when Luczo resigned, the events came to an end. Dave is such a two-faced leader it's nauseating.
ask one of the remaining boomer
Yes the big slide against the employee seemed to start when the physicist slimed his way to the top. This was the guy that has no respect for talents of "just engineers". A number of his famous positions has been " code designers are just typists so shut up and type. For what I pay you I can replace you with 3 engineers in Asia. Tell ya what to share your pain I will take minimal pay. Meanwhile don't look at the millions of dollars I will get from selling the free stock I had given to me. Yeah lets keep selling drives to Huawei as we are special and don't need to follow any laws or corporate policy. Who cares as we will get exec bonuses for meeting our performance targets. If we get caught the company will pay the fine not us and I get to keep the bonus. Oh look people are seeing we are flying the leased corporate jet around to places that look bad and posting it on layoff.com I guess we should hide that activity from the public as it looks bad and we sure don't want stop doing it...anybody else want to add some observations?? feel free I am sure there are many more
I guess they don't like the word corn hole. heh heh..heh heh heh...heh
Not only ECO, but also the engineer recognition in Hawaii.
Also waaay back in the day, there was MPI weekend at the CDC campground. Then it was annual employee recognition at Valley Fair and later Como Zoo for the entire day. Now it's an annual gathering on a hot parking lot with co-----e for three hours. So yeah, there was a day when the company spent serious $$$ on employee recognition. That day is long gone, long live the dividend!
Yes. I remember Eco Seagate where they go for a multiday adventure race.
Those were the times where bonuses were paid out every quarter and while revenue and profit were nowhere near now, employees are well taken care of.
I hate when his miserable thankless place
Actually no....I don't recall. When was that?
