Modern Workplace is an oxymoron, there is nothing about Modern Workplace that is modern.

There is allot of dead wood in the Modern Workplace business line. Lots of people living out their final years on a proverbial life support, until pension kicks in. And equally there's allot of talented people, who are shockingly still here.

Where did 750 staff come from I hear you say
FDS which is a wholly owned subsidiary of DXC Technology providing a vast range of services to DXC’s customers in 9 European countries. (Now 8) as DXC closed the UK subsidiary and its staff were Tupe'd into MWP in the UK during Q4

Every year. Pay rises being mentioned, which can be countered with "think yourself lucky you have a job". Meanwhile get the management to nit-pick everything to justify why you won't be getting a rise.

UK modern workplace only? I wonder if the recent like in employers national insurance contributions sealed the fate of workers

Where did DXC get 750 TUPE staff from?

Calls indeed took place in Modern Workplace on Friday offering VR with an enhancement. People would need to enquire to find out. They stated there is no Work Force Reduction program and acceptance wasn't guaranteed. They also said there was no plans for compulsory redundancies. So knowing DXC we can probably expect a formal program being announced in the next few months.

I’m confused, where did DXC get 750 TUPE staff from?

They’ve not won any business in years

That's just SOP for transferred staff, has been since outsourcing began, may happen a bit quicker now a days. Transfer X staff across, do the work with less than X staff = profit, you can either transfer the good staff to other projects or get rid of some through WFR.

"Can't be all areas as I haven't heard anything? It's not been offered to anyone I work with."
It was not an offer to anyone. It was a Teams call to all people recently TUPEd in in the last month saying that the company is looking for and offering VR to any one who wants it. They will accept any queries about the package which will not be enhanced (Just what your T&Cs state.
If you hold higher security clearance you cannot apply.

Modern Workplace, UK only, all areas.

Can imagine (if) somehow they don't hit the numbers, the VR changes to WFR..

This does not surprise me at all. For one they have just tuped in approximately 750 people from other areas and two it is coming up to the Christmas holiday period which is when they normally announce WFRs.
The top levels have just been enjoying their big bonuses and global holiday trips on our pay rises, so it's no shock that hey need to save some cash.
