You should be because we were told by HCSC that Cigna talent was part of the sale and is desperately needed. 6500+ are coming over.

Some clarification from a Cigna resource who works on DMOM and how it is due to integrate with HCSC. DMOM is essentially a project to convert legacy Cigna systems to "best in class systems" which really just means the most common systems used by the highest rated health plans.
Examples, we are converting multiple customers service systems to a single system of Salesforce Cloud while leveraging Verint as part of an audit layer. Additionally, we have converted our claims systems to Facets which I believe HCSC already uses. The plan for HCSC is to migrate at least the government segment of their business into DMOM and they want to use Cigna talent who now has years of experience in these conversions to lead that project.
Not just the pay.
Every benefit besides holidays is worse under HCSC.
I currently have 23 pto days with Cigna.
16 with HCSC.
And HCSC allows fewer days to be rolled over.
401K - worse with HCSC
Etc…
Wait til the Cigna people learn about the pay here. Lol
HCSC recently started to share it's compensation and benefits with Cigna Medicare employees. Lets just say it's not so great compared to what we are used to. I imagine many of us including myself will be looking to work elsewhere.
DMOM = Dedicated Medicare Operating Model. It is a platform that holds pretty much everything. It was being developed long before talk of MA being sold off.
DMOM
I am not an expert on this, but my basic and limited understanding is DMOM is the work we (C-MA) are doing to make sure we get all of of our data centralized and ready to migrate over to HCSC. Essentially we are cutting the tether from the mothership to go to "new-ship".
what is DMOM - please elaborate.
It just shows you that both companies are lying to their current employees to keep the waters murky. They don’t want to lose too many people YET but aren’t denying mass layoffs and cutting of the fat.
HCSC, will be obtaining Cigna offices and Cigna software. DMOM is part of the reason that HCSC wants Cigna.
If HCSC employees think that they’ll only be using Cigna systems for a year… you’re being lied to by your leadership. They’re just trying to hold the line so people to flock immediately.
Don’t forget Trump is president, it will be a free for all.
Whoever made that last post clearly doesn't know what's going on... coming from a Cigna employee.
The Cigna operating systems are only being used in 2025, and effective 1/1/2026 all of the transitioned Cigna business will be on HCSC operating systems. 2025 is the year when Cigna IT and HCSC IT work on transitioning that information over, and Cigna employees are trained on HCSC systems. The purchase of Cigna technology is not part of the deal. There's not a concern about Cigna employees taking jobs, there is plenty of work to go around.
What will actually happen is HCSC will cut the salary structure and keep the best of the best. So everyone will be up for elimination.
HCSC will have an internal pool of people they want to keep. If I was an “ok” employee at HCSC I would be worried.
Agree with most current comment my position makes more than HCSC pays and feel the same they will have us teach them and then let us go after the year is up
Nah we are worried HCSC will let us go lol. In my current role, I know HCSC pays know where near what I make. Salary ranges haven’t changed much since I left them.
Worried I will be drained for my knowledge and let go once an underpaid Hcsc employee can do my work.
The problem is Cigna employees are coming with a wealth and depth of knowledge in Cigna operating systems. Cigna employees know how to use and have used every platform. HCSC employees will need to figure it out. Can’t get rid of Cigna employees because they know the platforms. Bye bye hcsc team.
If anything, it's the other way around. After last years major Cigna Medicare Layoffs and this years news of the sale to HCSC, so many Cigna Medicare employees are voluntarily walking out the door. Many of us are being forced to take on extra work while people are shifted around to fill in the gaps. We aren't hiring either and we keep losing talent at a steady rate. When this sale closes, we will need more staff to sustain the business.
