Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

The Bloodbath

November 6th is the day. If you thought we’ve had layoffs before, from tomorrow onwards it’s going to be really, REALLY ugly.

For the Avayans who will be affected, take a deep breath…there is life after Avaya.

Guys, I am here for 15 years+. I saw many stupid things happening. I am still there cause not US nor UK guy. New directions about uplifts drives me crazy. I don't know how arrogant the senior management is. I am still there, I am with you guys who were fired. People in Avaya are the best valuable asset. Sad to say Senior Management since Kenned is a just cr-p. What they did eith this company? It has such a great history. Stupid decisions, good people fired. Just sad.

For those of you who got emails, is it a vague zoom meeting invite mentioning updates to the business? That’s what I’m seeing

Do the people at the very top of the company know that no one within the company, literally NO ONE is doing any real work? Do they know, are they aware that they’re biting their nails while waiting to find out if are they’re gonna be booted, they see posts of our glorious GVP of Portfolio Maximization resume her word tour, collecting air miles and sipping on her red wine in a partner event in Cologne? Wtf is wrong with this ceo and this board?!?!?!?

If what the person is stating is true about a new company putting new people in place to manage the sales and channel good luck to those poor souls. They forget that the systems and processes in place are so out of date and understood by few. More than likely will also cause the remaining business partners to leave Avaya once and for all as well.

The released profiles indicate strong divesting in the team and be taken over by a new company.

It is clear that many salespeople will be let go in large numbers, yet the sales targets given to ASL and RSL have increased, averaging 125% of last year’s goals. I believe PD’s real intention is to reduce the workforce to just 1,000 people, focusing solely on managing G200 customers, while ignoring the rest. Making it attractive for potential buyers. But what eexactly the buyer is buying?

To put a twist on things, maybe tomorrow’s the day that the entire C-suite and senior VPs are canned and they promote someone from within the company who knows what’s going on to steer the ship …..I know…..wishful thinking.
