If everything is so bad, why are you still at Follett??

Its not the healthcare plan....
Some of these are valid excuses - I waited too long ten years ago because I couldn’t find anything at the time.
To those still there - use your time wisely and keep looking. Reach out to anyone you know and see if they have any info on jobs. No one said it would be easy. Expand your horizons. And yes, reach out on Facebook to the alumni group. Over 700 people, and we are all willing to help. You just need to let us know.
Take your PTO and do some outreach. Visit other campus depts and let them know you are available. There are opportunities out there.
Can't get an interview, let alone find a job.
All of these excuses. Those of use who were fired without warning managed to get back on our feet, some of us pretty quickly. Check out the Follett Alumni board. You're there because you are lazy and know if you are the only one working they won't fire you. WRONG, they will eventually close your store. It's a good game you are playing until they decide 2 part time key holders are better than one full time.
Trying to keep my salary and housing stable until child finishes school after they lost their other parent. It’s not that much longer and selfish of me to shake up their life any more right now. If I get laid off then it is what it is.
What I did was added up all my expenses and took a hard look at expenses like cable and whether I can take the bus if I had to. I added them up and a had a better understanding of what kind of salary I needed to get by. I found a job that paid less but because I had a plan I could say yes. I have a set schedule and rarely work weekends and my inbox isn't filled with cut hours emails or angry customers and that my friends is priceless.
You can’t leave your job when you don’t have another lined up? And what about when you get let go? Is unemployment going to be enough? You are the only one at the store?? Take time off. You are being loyal to a company that is not loyal to you. Be proactive. Be pro you!! You can do this!!
Wanna bet. If I was the only one in the store I would call the GM and tell them that I was sick and couldn't come in. Then I would take that day and search for another job. You always have options.
Not everyone can leave a job without having another lined up. It's not like follett pays very well for the peons at the store level.
Are you independently wealthy so that you can leave a job without another on the backburner? I am pretty sure all of us are living paycheck to paycheck, and when you are the only person running the store, it isn't like you can schedule any job interviews during regular business hours.
