Am I the only one who wonders lately why I should even bother? Doing a good job at Cigna doesn't seem to matter. I’ve seen the most hardworking employees get laid off, while some of the kiss-as--s who do nothing stick around. Any other company would promote or at least reward good work, but not this one. Every layoff feels like a slap in the face to the people who actually care.

What does this even mean? Product owners laid off?when?

Strength, resilience and integrity is what matters at cigna for assurance of survival - if that is your plan to win. Negativity is not healthy!
Cigna is not the paragon of virtue it makes itself out to be. Lots of lip service about this wanna-be meca to work for. Some low-level managers really care about their teams, but no one higher does.
As for promotions, just look at the ratios of men to women and whites to minorities for who is being promoted. Who are the senior leaders and what their demographics? Kissing butt gives you a better chance at being promoted than hard work and dedication do.
I stopped caring when my manager told me work I had been doing wasn’t my actual job and when I said I would stop doing it was called unprofessional and accused of making them scared from the way I talked to them. They involved our director and in no time my character was slandered. Why even keep going after that? I wish I could get severance tbh
Yes, I don't care one bit about this place, other than the compensation. Used to, but that's been destroyed. I work just hard enough to keep under the radar and watch the clock until quitting time.
Thanks for all the vitality, Cordani and cronies. Maybe the HIH folks will bring that back for you.
You shouldn’t give a fu-k and that goes for all of us.
Every employee who is still here will be stretched too thin and leeched on by Cigna until there’s nothing left to provide. Then you will be replaced by an offshore worker or A.I.! Fun stuff :)
This is far from an ethical company. The health insurance industry is corrupted with greed and we are all complicit. David Cordani and his henchfolk are a collective of megalomanic, greedy re--rds who do not care if you live or die.
