Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Never meet a more disinterested work force in my life

Everyone I know here is mentally checked out or is more than likely working another job.

People are half asleep in meetings if they show up at all. Projects and work is stalled for weeks and weeks on end.

This company is a disaster and morale is at an all time low.

I blame the brackets dept. Signed, Mr Farley. Now let me go back to golfing at my private club in Pebble Beach while you get back to work.

Back in the 2000s while we were going through transition the salaried ranks stayed mostly because of the benefits. It was also a time for the company to get rid of those they want to let go. For a time there when Allan was there things seemed to be on track. A vision and a plan which a line worker to a ws analyst could all read and understand.
Now i don't know what Ford stands for.
the market and volumes continue to fall. you have management who refuse to take blame for their actions. I will not call any of them leaders. they have not demonstrated any traits of a good leader.
company will be luck to survive in the next 5-10 years.

This is JF. All of you b$&@€£s better get off this site and get back to work. It’s you fault that we are in this mess with your low morale, poor attitudes and allegiance to brackets. I can’t even buy the larger house in the South of France because of you.

This is not the case for Model e employees. It's hard to have disinterest when one is working on the newest exciting mobility products that will define Ford's future. I recommend moving to Model e if anyone feels like this OP.

"When the CEO continuously brow beats the workforce taking no accountability for senior leadership’s poor decisions: people get checked out."
Well said; therein lies the problem.

Jim? Thoughts? Comments?

The veteran employees are burned out from always being in crisis mode. The younger employees see the veterans are burned out/ treated like sh-t and leave. When the CEO continuously brow beats the workforce taking no accountability for senior leadership’s poor decisions: people get checked out. I do an honest day work and that’s it for me. I no longer make waves, I just exist. No aspirations for anything big with this tu-d of a company. It doesn’t matter what you do anyways because they will just bring in an outsider who knows nothing about automotive to be your boss. Why stress yourself out when the game is already rigged with zero procedural justice.

Trust is lost. How can anyone focus on engineering when they are waiting for the next round of cuts. As they ship jobs to low cost countries I might add. Anti-American company.
