Thread regarding Gainwell Technologies layoffs

Freedom!!!

This is my first weekend Gainwell free.

I highly recommend it to everyone.

I think it is well known that Gainwell is in serious trouble financially and certainty with their future. I don’t think that is even a question. Then there is the turmoil that is happening internally. Then there is the inept leadership. Then there is the extremely low morale. Then there is the threat of a sale. Then there is the fear of being in one of the monthly layoffs.

Choosing to leave all that was one of the best decisions I have ever made.

I understand that we all need a job. But it is in your best interest to be searching hard for a job away from Gainwell.

I wish everyone the best of luck finding and landing a new job.

The holidays will be tough for many. Gainwell is well known for heavy layoffs right before the holidays.

Best to everyone. Find your way out.

Demetrius is right.

It’s best to get out.

Way more upside to leave than there is to stay. It’s just not worth the headache. Even if you are well paid.

I'm still stuck on my manager blackballing the department to pretty much every other group within the ITO infrastructure.

Before coming to Gainwell. I've never had a manager/supervisor purposely downgrade their subordinate's skillsets to maintain dominance and keep those said subordinates on a short leash. Hired in as a technical resource and have pretty much been an administrative assistant ever since. Everyday I get treated with little or no respect, talked down too, treated as if I've never done anything technical in my life. Despite holding a degree, managing others as well as assets in a variety of business settings.

Everyday I get off work, feeling a little less than I did the day before. True, I get a decent paycheck. But I've had to give up my dignity, watch my skillsets that I've accumulated over 15 years waste away. So I can have others belittle me, play head games and often watch myself and peers be used as an escape goats.

ITO is the greatest
