Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

Regretting joining Viasat?

I just joined the sec team a little while ago and noticing a lack of capable people here. Lot's of talking heads and nobody knows anything. Don't want to regret too early but judging by this board here, I may have joined a sinking ship?

It's not like there weren't plenty of warnings not to hold the stock. Stock holders are Dank's ATM.

10 years ago, you could have picked almost any tech company to join, and you'd be a millionaire or close to it, seeing how much the Nasdaq has gone up in that time. But since you picked Viasat, one of the few tech companies to flounder, your 401K has turned into a 40K.

Not a great place for team work. Watch your back. Everybody maneuvering to not be in the next round of layoffs.

Definitely. At this point it's well known in my tech circles as being an un-innovator, it's a stain on the resume.

More worried about DEI than product development. Top talent isn’t their priority now!
I’m thinking we might be a good example of the woke and broke statement

Viasat acquired a world class Sec team from ISAT. But like everything else from ISAT that team was RIFd, demoted, ignored and made irrelevant. The outcome is pre-acquisition mediocrity across VSAT Sec, this is the lesson of acquisition. If you’re any good get out and join a company that may listen to you and value you.
