Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

Growth vs cuts

Any idea on when we'll finally start increasing profits once again by growing, instead of doing it by cutting costs (which is equivalent to cutting employees)? Asking for a friend.

I only see more cuts on the horizon. Short version of what I was told in a recent town hall is that increases we are seeing with our newer products isn't compensating for the overlap that was created with the merger and less we see "explosive" sales increases in server and storage (unlikely since sales teams have been effectively gutted) we will see "significant" WFR continue.

Scr3w politicians on both sides. They don't help us when our companies treat us like dell does so who cares about either side?

The ghost of Data General arises and shows the way to selling the company. Getting expenses below revenue to show profitability.

"Yeah it’s complicated. That’s why we need someone with a backbone"

Haha....Biden has no backbone and neither does Kamala. Putin will chew her up and sp-t her out in the midst of one of her word salads.... And remember, both she and Joe warned Bibi not to go into Rafa.... Fortunately, Bibi did have a backbone. And so does Trump.

SMCI won't be the only company hit by an accounting scandal by the time the AI thing is over.

The stock is not much above the number where the execs received their RSUs in March.

116-ish IIRC.

And yet we had peace under Trump. Putin invaded Crimea under Obama and Ukraine under Biden. Nothing under Trump. See the pattern?

“Peace” where we threaten our ally Ukraine that they won’t get defense funding if they don’t dig up dirt on Trump’s political rival.

Putin has made it very clear he doesn’t believe in the current democratic world order of independent states and wants to rebuild the Russian empire. He must be put in his place or he’ll take the Baltic states next and we’ll be in WWIII for sure because all of NATO will be obligated to declare war. China will take Taiwan and ally with Russia openly.

Yeah it’s complicated. That’s why we need someone with a backbone, not compromised by Putin or for sale to the highest bidder, someone with a few brain cells and the humility to get advice from experts.

If by resolve you mean capitulate to Putin and Netanyahu and end the post WWII streak of no wars of conquest.”

LoL
It took some worldwide pandemic for Dell to "grow."
Let me repeat that. It took a worldwide pandemic for dell to see good numbers.
