Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

Many Sr. Directors “retired” in RNEO, what about Sr. Managers?

Do we really need Sr. Managers who have a couple of Managers as direct reports?

No, we need more ICs who do the real work.

JS - Please take note.

@OP+1vgnlfzl, interesting point about the senior and mid-level managers. Not sure that I agree with hiring more individual contributors. Are you keeping up with the latest news regarding innovation in the mobile wireless/telecom sector? Eventually, you will require fewer ICs that have a different set of skills; a DeVry “degree” will no longer be enough. As a result, fewer ICs and fewer layers of management. Problem solved, everybody wins, and the stock rises to $300.

Too bad they didn’t ask one other director to leave. We could do without that dictator with the biggest ego in the company!

They're not replacing anyone with anything but a contractor. They won't hire IC's who work in the US. They'll contract out some software house in Mumbai.

Absolutely was asked to leave. No way do that many senior people leave simultaneously organically.
