Thread regarding ViaSat Inc. layoffs

I was laid off today

And I feel like a ton of bricks lifted off my shoulders. I wanted to quit for a while, because Viasat proved to be the worst work experience I’ve ever had. But there was always something that made me postpone my decision. You know, like life, and bills, and bad job offers. I’m so glad they finally pushed me out.

Don't listen to all the negativity from impotent trolls who come here to ma-------e. The company has tripped and can't get back up, while you have taken your power back and will thrust up to new heights with the opportunies ahead of you. I've never known one person who was in a dead end company who looked back from their new job and said man I should have stayed. These holidays will be a great time to relax and get reconnected with things/family that my have been negelected in feeding the Viasat black hole, then jump back in to follow the opportunities where they may lead you. Good luck, I am rooting for you!

Good luck to you…and for the other commenter…the vast majority of those going, voluntarily or involuntarily, are not ‘slackers’. The former are primarily those who are sick-and-tired of tedious jobs-worth process and lack of leadership & strategy at all levels in this company. I really hope we get acquired and that the new incoming management clear out this LV dead-wood executive in short order
