Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Layoffs amongst lavish travel and Christmas parties

F5 lays off some of its top talent but still plows ahead with lavish travel and entertainment budget for Connect in Las Vegas, and spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on Christmas parties in Seattle at MoPop and in Spokane at an upscale casino and resort? Does this make any sense to you?

I hope FLD and his quorum of execs have a great time. Some of us have seen two Thanksgivings now and likely 2 Christmases unemployed

Please relax. If you are a diverse employee you have nothing to fear at F5.
You are more likely to get promoted if anything.
Even if you were to lose your job do not worry you will be rehired (and very quickly) somewhere else!

"Anyone else feel like they are forcing F5 religion down us?"

When work starts feeling pointless, they need to use different tactics.

""The Happy Worker" explores the reasons why highly paid managers are so fond of parroting hackneyed phrases, following abstruse management methods and poisoning the working atmosphere for the benefit of shareholders."

Sounds familiar?

Did not hear any announcement of the corporate holiday parties being cancelled at the company meeting. Did I miss it? Or is this rumor officially debunked?

The week that marketing team laid of .25% workforce, they catered food daily to comfort the remaining team members. There was so much left over food everyday the two porters complained to me. They had loads to clean up, thrown food away.

They spend tens if not hundreds of thousands organizing lavish parties and travelling across continents. At the same time, they cut costs and remove learning services. F5 - truly "Human First" (TM) and "engineering" company. Laughable!

The holiday party is gonna be lit with nothing but FLD's sycophants and various other masochists.

Ii think so. It was really mind draining for them to justify more layoffs on such a great quarter that they should be rewarded. Note that the previous words are my best attempt at sarcasm
