Delaying or avoiding the sharing of bad news, like a layoff, is poor leadership. Having to learn about it from external sources first was disappointing. Don't do this again. Don't announce business success one day, and then lay off 100s the day after without telling us why.
We deserve better.

When people who have been working from long time like 20+ or 15+ years of working could be fired, anybody could be fired I guess..If it’s about cost cutting, why not start from useless directors and above.
The uncomfortable truth is that CEOs of most large companies now are NPCs. They are there to do the bidding of Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street via the "management strategies" of McKinsey and other consultancies. The only exceptions are founders who stay on onboard. If Francois grows a spine, or even better grows a conscience, they'll just get another loser MBA from one of the so called "top business schools", or hire another id--t box-checker from McKinsey.
You never see FLD around the office. He's always ensconced in his Ivory Tower office or travelling. At one time F5 was unique when you would regularly see and chat with senior executives in the corridor of the offices.

So well written. The annual picnic that f5 had years ago was replaced by FLDs annual/semi annual layoff. The things we use to do for the community we don't anymore. F5 has lost its way under FLD.
