Thread regarding Capital One layoffs

hybrid now mandatory 3 days in office

Email sent out that hybrid expectations is a full 3 days in an office. Prior it was 2 to 3 days or half a week in an office.

The merger with DFS has fallen apart and won't happen and now they're using a new metric to fire staff.

The company is more concerned with bodies in seats than building teams of qualified people. You might be sitting alone in an office while your immediate team is scattered and some remote, including mgmt. Not fair. Also, salary is low for major metro areas that require commuting.

That's the reason why they're doing stack ranking discussions in open cubicles publicly in front of everyone. Because they can't work at home.

There was never any merger intended. Capone will acquire Discover. Period.
