Thread regarding F5 Networks Inc. layoffs

Is this the last layoff of the year?

Can we finally stop stressing, at least until after the holidays? Or is there a chance there'll be even more cuts in the coming weeks/months?

No, it's not. Another tide is around the corner. Santa will deliver letters. Emails, I should say.

I wouldn't be surprised if another layoff is in the works.

And those that are abt 65 wach out too. Group term insurance you receive as a benefit costs f5 4x more than when you were 64 or less. Don't worry though f5 will find something else to justify your RIF

Those who reached or will reach a 20+ years anniversary gotta be walking on eggshell only because your skills, talents, tribal knowledge weight heavily on F5 operating costs. The most recent layoff round had 3 x 20ers who are a performer+. 2 in IT and 1 in ENG.
Sorry F5 customers, you will have to deal with AI going forward. Good luck with that!

The next strategy move is to eliminate quality and test positions and have the customer do this for F5.

It looks like F5 management will continue to layoff quarterly going forward. Cost cutting is the only way to improve EPS. When FFIV goes up, so does C level compensation. They are on a short term contract, they want to bag all the money while they can.

If you are in a quality or test role you really need to consider other options or companies next year

Unfortunately, it’s likely to happen. We can expect an email from Santa or later from Bunny, or “pager style” laptop shutdowns.
