Do the job of that 2 roles higher and shut up about it has been the name of the game for a while now at USB. And if you speak up, they’ll just dangle the carrot of a possible “promotion” in front of someone else. Very ethical. Not slimy at all.
I asked about a pay increase for the two jobs I am now doing as well. The conversation did not go well. I now won’t be surprised if I get laid off as revenge.
Anyone else notice us bank slashed the pay on the same job listings. Saw same job repost recently that was posted in January. Pay slashed by 10%.
I questioned if down the road I would ever see a pay or title increase since I am doing the job above me now. And we pulled in someone else to do the lower level job I was doing. I was told I was being “inappropriate” for asking that. But one of my goals in work day talks about having career conversations. The name of the game right now is literally: shut up, nod, smile, everything is great, everything is fine. This is the list toxic work environment I have ever had to navigate.
Yea, they lay off this girl this month and now I am doing her job, on top of my job.
I hope they lay me off. I can’t handle two jobs and I told my manager this

I have and I started to raise the issue... doing stuff way above my pay or role.
They keep trying, but at this point I’m quietly refusing.
All the time and I’ll still get meets expectations as my year end rating with also no recognition throughout the year. You just get more and more work if you prove yourself as competent.
Ask to do more, continued stress and just waiting for my call. Indeed the work life balance they must be preaching about.
