I’ve given Seagate my best work for years, but now I'm done. I’m drained. I’m just doing the bare minimum, waiting for them to notice and let me go. I wouldn’t mind being escorted out. In fact, it’d be a relief. I’ve lost all motivation, and I’m just hoping they come after me soon.

LOL so the OP quiet quits, then whines about how mentally challenging that is LOLOLOLOL
who cares about Longmont
People cry even after getting 300k+ in Longmont.
Nice try Dave. Yeah we’re all engineering managers here.
Levels.fyi shows average salary of engineering manager is 358k
Assuming thats true a director should easily make 400k+
I don’t understand why we still get posts of underpaid. Probably underpaid posts are all fake posts
@dfs+1vebVs0r WD been calling our HAMR bluff, went after MAMR and found some benefits, and bet on getting to 11 platters while probably working HAMR too
@dfs+1vebVs0r DNA storage is looming out there
I'm there too. Called on to work miracles and for what return? Pay theft for a year, no serious bonus for years (and made nearly impossible to get again), a measly 4% raise in 4 years (1%/yr avg.). When financials recover they keep the pay theft for themselves and raise the dividend. Almost the entire professional staff below 1 comp ratios. What's not to love right? My advice is to quiet quit as hard as you can get away with and hold out for severance if you are over 50. Younger people should consider higher pay transfers to other more exciting companies that treat employees better. Yes, even WD is better to employees than Seagate at this point.
@txx - Riddle me this. Why is WD, TDK and Resonac furiously working on their own HAMR right now? Even outright appropriating STX designs? Clue: there is no other viable tech for the future.
@txx+1vebVs0r oh, the rosy glasses you wear.
Yep, and it shows in the product. HAMR. Dead. Thats why I work at WesternDigital/Sandisk. Soooooo much better.
