Bonus

Does anyone know if 401K is taken out of bonus checks if received after termination date? I was job eliminated 10/10 with a term date of 11/09. My paperwork indicates my bonus will be paid out 60 days after termination date.

Do you know if you’ll be getting your full bonus or just half of it?

Once you are terminated, you can no longer contribute to your 401K. This includes your severance as well as 401K. Having the extra cash is helpful in this job market.

Good question, I assume your ability to contribute to 401k ends on 11/9 as well? If that's the case, I would think (but don't know for sure) they would not be able to contribute any money yours or company match after that date.

401k is withheld unless you go in and turn off your contributions a few weeks ahead of time.
