Any word if the golden handshake will be offered this year to trim the base?

Bingo ! Lots of hatred at this pathetic company. Nobody cares anymore at any level. I see so many people cheating the company anymore because they treat the base like cr-p. So if you can’t beat them , join them and get the bare minimum out of me.
They offer a 12 week sub pay AFTER you file for unemployment. Once your unemployment is approved, you have to show the sub pay company proof then they pay you your remaining balance of what your salary was after unemployment. The rate of unemployment is based on what your state offers. It is the most ridiculous process and took me and others WEEKS to get it figured out. They lay YOU off then make you jump through hoops to get money. It’s disgusting. Windstream is disgusting.
I doubt anything is offered. They have a cheaper method now with the sub pay route. If it is offered, would likely only be to union employees
My belief is that they are mostly in a holding pattern waiting for the merger to happen. I think there will be big changes then. Including a possible simultaneous spin-off of enterprise. Some big moves being made there that haven't been made public.
It’s normally offered this time of the year to tidy up the books & to get older employees to leave so a bigger layoff isn’t needed. With the merger on the doorstep I suspect something would be offered.
Payouts to leave voluntarily? They’ve done it a few times over the years but I haven’t heard of any plans coming.
