  1. 8 billions charged for CPM layoff of16.5k people. Average per head cost is about 170k before tax. So, average payout is around 85k per person after various withdrawals

Uh, sabbaticals don't accumulate, but I did get paid for the latest 1 month that was still open.

Senior grades were not eligible for enhanced retirement, but they would have RSUs and the usual weeks of pay.

For example, Pat got a $10m severance, plus his vested stock.

For someone with 20-25 years, they got about 1.5 years pay.

@1mtr It's not hard to come up with numbers >200k. Many long time employees don't take their sabbatical. Let's say you've worked for Intel for 15 years and accumulated two sabbatical. On your way out you'll get your 9 weeks in lieu, your 22.5 weeks for tenure, your 8 weeks of sabbatical, if in California, your 3 weeks of PTO. $5000/week pre-tax is not unusual for a Grade 9/10 employee. Here you have it, that's a 42.5 weeks payout for about 212k (pre-tax). I'm not even counting the Thank you RSUs, and the 2024 APB to be paid next year.

Not the rank and file for sure. If any of those numbers are real > 200K, I guess I made the wrong life choices SMH
