Didn't know it was going to be a Hybrid Christmas party. They only had seating for 1/2 the attendees. And what's with the drink tickets to get a Coke? Were so hard up we're limited the soft drinks?
Guess they made it up with the Parking Fees.

How can a company even justify Holiday parties. They are expensive and no one really wants to be there. Many executives even schedule business trips around these dates just so they don’t have to attend. What a waste of time and money.
CVX has been going downhill since 2014. Before that the job was great. It's a completely different company now and it's tough to go to work everyday.
Seems you are talking about the IT party in HOU? I thought it was good. Plenty of food, not much wait for drinks. But yes they should have had a tea and frescas table and kept the coffee out longer. Prices after coupons were tough.... my 2 extra drinks cost me $34.. The casino company had some decent folks.
Our holiday party was not hybrid. How do they do a hybrid party?
@xuy that’s what ABU does!
Here's one for leading performance and benchmarking; have ONE party and not a thousand little parties.
What kind of BS is this with no seats? Chris, at least feed us and let us sit to have comfortable conversations with colleagues.
I’ve been to Chevron parties where all of upper management was feeling their way along the walls by 10pm due to their excessive holiday spirit. The good old days.
You go to a party to sit down in a seat? The last time I went to a company party and all the employees were seated except for maybe a couple or so getting drinks I turned around and left. I have been to many many company parties. A party is not a "seated get together" no matter how many want to call it that. Get a clue.
The limited seating was to encourage mingling and not sitting in the same spot as last time. Don’t worry though, next year will have plenty of seating.
Maybe be thankful you got a holiday party at all...
