Anyone heard anything about bonuses? Anthem used to be quite transparent about letting employees know about anticipated percentages. Past 3 years or so the percentages are kept very close to Executives. Any ideas? TIA

Directors have zero insight into the bonus pool. Probably trying to set low expectations.
About a month ago our director insinuated there could be no bonus or very low bonus in a team meeting.
Gail and all other decision makers should NOT get their hefty bonuses as they are the direct result of the loss of contracts, business, and whatever else this company did poorly this year. The employees, aka grunts, shouldn’t be penalized for their failures. These people that made poor decisions should be fired immediately. Imagine the millions the company would save right there in those salaries alone.
No bonuses, if anything, they are off, showing more jobs to the Philippines
Sung to Old Macdonald…
We get less, execs get more A-I A-I Yo
And in this place the burdens grow A-I A-I Yo
With an offshore here and a offshore there…
What bonus, really?
“I would hate for them to payout bonuses and let more ppl go to offset costs.” Payout out bonuses and layoffs have nothing to do with one another. They will still layoff and then take a bigger share of the bonus pool. Leadership will be compensated for doing the needful in 2024.
The last few years I was nervous that we would not get a bonus but we did. I’m thinking since the stock/ dept metrics are not great that we might not getting a bonus this year. I would rather keep my job and the cost of living increase over the bigger bonus. Job market is tight out there these days. I would hate for them to payout bonuses and let more ppl go to offset costs.
The bonuses percentages will be very marginal this year. Don’t except much…Gail’s pet projects and losing contracts left and right we will be lucky to see 2-3%.
