Thought exercise. If the reduction target is as high as other post suggested, probably most if not all of the cut would be from San Ramon to save on relocation package.

Silicon Valley Bay Area high performer would probably take EOI
nah… im sure some in Houston and others would hope that… to save themselves .. good thing deadwood, low skills will be first…. Sales already cut staff and location was never a factor…
paying a “retire in place” who cannot add value will hurt CVX in the long w pension and vs a silicon valley:bay area high performer
Add 10-15% attrition due to SR non-movers, another 10-15% due to "retired in place" people who are willing to raise their hands, and another 10-15% due to obvious deadwood... and you're there.
I'm sorry that this is such a long and drawn-out process. However, if this is similar to any other Chevron reorg in the past, nearly every decent employee will find a seat.
There aren’t many teams with 30-40% of their team in SR.
I do think the number of folks that are willing to move and able to
survive the hunger games will be low, but not enough bodies to really ease the layoff impact in houston.
Things have certainly changed over last month or so. Folks I would speak to were confident they will be moving to Houston .. their job is staying .. now people are freaking out. No one really knows what's next !! Thanks to all these meaningless town halls.. such a waste of time. And there are hundreds of those.. wth.. someone need to to $ amount to this waste of productivity
In reality except at the higher levels how many CA lifers are even going to want to come Texas. Below PSG 26 it’s got less than half maybe even 25 percent. Those truly in board moved when relo was offered before
