A friend of mine is a director and her SVP told her she needs to go ahead and have conversations with her direct reports regarding upcoming RIFs. No dates were give. And this was back in early November. Good luck all- we’re all in this together. Most importantly let’s remember we are ALL so much more than our job.
Nurses can definitely be off shored. Especially to the Philippines
There will be continual RIFS in 2025…allot of claim roles moving off shore. Lists have already been started. Elevance is moving positions under Carelon then going to RIF in increments to move offshore. Our saving grace maybe a new CEO who is not supportive of offshoring which if the board finally agrees that Gails initiatives cost the company millions of dollars for her pet projects than they were worth she will finally step down. Nurses are not even safe. I know Directors are saying nurses are safe because we can’t offshore those roles but it’s not true.
Tis the season when he makes a list and checks it twice. Gotta know who’s been naughty, and who’s been nice.
I gotta seriously start looking to find another place to go, if or when, or before, I get shown the door.
So depressing during what should be a happy time of year.
