Intel owes its success to IBM and Microsoft.

If history went another way say Motorola, then Motorola would become Intel.

Whomever got the ISA software lock was going to be the winner no matter what.

Yes that was a great book! Read it back in 2001 when I first joined Intel. Still have a copy of it on my bookshelf.
I recall Andy did come off as a bit crazy...or should I say paranoid.
